Jason Holt is da Coolest
Bio Animations Traditional Thesis
Jason grew up in the small town of Princeville in central Illinois. Since he was a baby he lived on a farm out on the country side. All throughout his childhood he always had his sketchbook or notebook with him. When he got into high school, he started becoming the "tech kid." Through his passion for art and his knowledge of computers, he decided to pursue a career in Computer Animation.

The Illinois Institute of Art was his first choice not because of reputation, but because of its close proximity to home. Soon after attending the Art Institute, Jason heard about the amazing work coming out of a college by the name of Ringling School of Art and Design.

After being disappointed by the curriculum at the Art Institute and intrigued by this new school, Jason decided to try his chances with Ringling. Jason visited the campus in the summer of 2003 and fell in love. He applied for the Fall 2004 Computer Animation curriculum but was initially waitlisted. Not less than a week later, he got word that he was accepted into the Animation department. He took this as fuel to push himself to become the best he could be. He is now finishing up his senior year as Ringling's 2008 Trustee Scholar and is also the recipient of the Sony IPAX $10,000 Scholarship for 2008.
